What is the Star Jump Challenge
The PCYC StarJump Challenge is a charity fundraising event for the Police Citizens Youth Clubs (PCYC) in NSW. It has been organised to raise money for a much-needed mental resilience program for young people.
The PCYC StarJump Challenge takes place every day of Youth Week 2022, April 3rd - 10th. Participants commit to starjumping everyday during this period either as individuals or in teams, and can choose to donate directly to their local club, or to the PCYC NSW non-profit organisation as a whole.
Who can take part?
Everyone! All stars are welcome.
Whether you’re an individual, a workplace, a school, a team, or a bunch of mates you can take part in The PCYC StarJump Challenge.
You can set your own star jump goal - deciding how many star jumps you’ll commit to do each day. When you sign up to The PCYC StarJump Challenge, we’ll help you kick off your fundraising and start planning your challenge. As Youth Week approaches, you’ll receive more tips and support to help you raise awareness and funds.
Together, we’ll help give our youth a brighter future.
How much does it cost to register?
Nothing. It’s free to sign up to make sure everyone can join us and be a Star!
How does it work?
Once you sign up, you’ll receive a fundraising page and access to PCYC StarJump Challenge resources. You’ll choose the number of star jumps you’ll do each day during Youth Week (3rd - 10th April 2022), and spread the word to your friends and family. Fundraising is open from the time you join and top and early fundraisers will have the chance to win prizes!
From the moment you sign up, we’ll be there with tips and support to help you.

What do I have to do?
Star Jump every day between of Youth Week (3rd - 10th April) and ask your friends and family to sponsor you to raise money for PCYC NSW's youth mental resilience program, GRIT. Every jump will raise money to help our youth.

Is there a minimum amount I have to raise?
There's no minimum fundraising target, and no limit on the amount you can raise. We'd love you to raise as much as you can. Level up the more you fundraise! To help you stay motivated, we've got some amazing prizes available as you hit fundriasing milestones along the way.
Every dollar you raise will help young people improve their mental wellbeing and build resiliency through the PCYC mental resilience program GRIT. If you're stuck on how to boost your fundraising, please give us a call on (02) 9625 9111 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org
How do I update my fundraising goal?
Log in to your PCYC StarJump Challenge account and head to your dashboard. Click on ‘Edit my page’ and update your fundraising goal.
How do I bank any offline fundraising money I raise?
The best way to bank your offline fundraising money is through your online fundraising page with your credit or debit card. Your total fundraising amount will then be shown on your page.
What resources are available to help me fundraise?
Your online fundraising page makes it easy for you to get donations and spread the word about The PCYC StarJump Challenge.
We’ve also created resources to help you fundraise. You can download all of these resources from your fundraising page’s dashboard. It’s all there to help you make you a star in The PCYC StarJump Challenge!
Can I post my photos or details on PCYC’s social media pages?
Absolutely! We’d love to see what a star you are. You can post your photos and use #pcycstarjumpchallenge. Don’t forget that sharing photos of you doing your star jumps will show your supporters that you’re committed to the challenge.
I've shared my page on Facebook asking for donations using the Facebook Donate button. Will the money I raise come to PCYC?
Yes. However, we recommend you don’t use the Facebook Donate button to raise money for The Star Jump Challenge, as we can’t link any donations back to your fundraising page.
If you’ve already set up a post, we suggest that you:
1. Delete the post, as this is the only way to remove the Facebook Donate button; and
2. Create a new Facebook post and share the link to your fundraising page without adding the ‘Donate’ button.
Why aren't the donations I'm receiving through Facebook showing up on my fundraising page?
Facebook donations are handled and held by a third party, so we can’t link them to your PCYC StarJump Challenge fundraising page. Given these limitations, we recommend you don’t use the Facebook Donate button to fundraise.
If you’d like your Facebook friends and followers to donate to The PCYC StarJump Challenge, we encourage you to share the link to your fundraising page on your social media pages instead.
